Spring, Easter and a Little Retail Therapy
I had to make some returns this morning and felt the urge for some personal retail therapy. I couldn’t resist a stroll around Homesense. There were quite a lot of great spring items to help get ready for Easter and the warmer weather of spring to follow and I immediately became inspired by all of these great new spring additions to their shelves. OK... I had an urge to purchase a bunny. I selected a few more items and was then totally engaged in a shopping trip.
Last week I had a chance to pop into Pottery Barn and of course they also have their spring offerings on display--and quite a lot of them. I loved the white ceramic bunnies, the moss-like bunnies and all the lovely pastel and spring colours. I found speckled eggs in nests and bowls, and even some ‘glitzy’ eggs for those who like their bling. Lots of greenery as well that looks like real herbs. Since I am known to kill every herb that I bring inside, having a faux is just the ticket for the look I want.
I couldn’t stop, so checked out some other sources – Pier One, William Sonoma and the new Target which opened in Milton recently. What a great way to welcome Easter and spring. I am so looking forward to the end of cold weather and the beginning of warmer times when we shed the heavy items of winter and bring out light, airy and bright for spring and summer. Everything is in such gorgeous colours of yellow, aqua, mauve and green. I even have my eye on some gorgeous yellow dishes to bring spring to my dining experience.
