Spring Forward With Colour and Pattern
A change is as good as a rest and by the time spring rolls around I am craving colour, pattern and a change of decor. You can do this without redoing a whole room. Having a neutral sofa or chairs leaves you open to so many colour options and means you can switch up your decor with minimum effort and expense. Small changes make a huge difference. Use pops of bright, breezy colour, interesting textures and patterns. No better way to do this than with cost-effective pillows! The beauty of Wicker Emporium is that you can purchase pillow covers on their own, making it so much easier to change up your pillows with the seasons.
The look this season is graphic, bold and eye-catching, with a sprinkling of floral and embroidery. Mix bold and feminine fabrics for an eclectic look.
The latest photo shoot featured a beautiful collection of button back dining and armchairs in oatmeal and grey--a perfect backdrop to show off some of the new spring pillows. Beachy blues, vibrant orange, delicious purples, sunshine yellow... hello! If those don't cheer up a dreary grey day nothing will. The graphic design pattern on a grey background is one of my favourites. Available in blue, yellow, green and a gorgeous bright pink they pack a punch in the impact department. A couple of those on your winter grey bedding... instant update!
Another look so on-trend is the embroidered blue and orange. How much would this perk up the cottage? Check out the stitched "Ikat" design. Juicy shades of purples, violet, orange. Pop some orange on your blue sofa, voila, a whole new look. The spiral design is fabulous, beaded and bright.
Yes, I am a "pillowoholic." They are a decorator's best friend (usually not man's best friend when you pile them on the bed, right?)
A few new pillows, a bunch of spring flowers and I'm a happy camper. Gotta go... the sun is shining and I'm in the mood to shop!
