Curb Appeal and enjoying your outdoor space
We all know the first impression of your home is the outside and it is referred to as "curb appeal". We especially hear this from realtors selling our homes. It only takes a buyer a few seconds to form an opinion of the house before they even enter.
What about the importance of curb appeal to the impression you create about your home when you are not selling but living in the home? It still says a lot about how you care for the home and the value you put on it. Never before has the outside of a home been so important - we are spending more money and time on this additional living space.
Brightening up your exterior color and creating several “spaces” outside really is creating additional, functional living space. The options are limitless. A visit to Wicker Emporium will put you in the mood to update and really enjoy your outdoor living space.
One of the most enjoyable things about summer time is the ability to extend your dining and entertaining areas to the outdoors. Your outdoor space can be divided into different areas just like the inside, offering outdoor dining and entertaining areas, relaxing areas and cooking areas. Your front porch, back porch, back deck, patio or lawn can become a welcoming place to entertain family and friends and enjoy the warmer temperatures if you put a little effort into it.
Add colour and spruce up any outdoor furniture you currently own, or purchase something new along with some fresh cushions in bright summer colours; planters, table vases of flowers and potted greenery are perfect in these outdoor dining spaces.
In looking at all the products available I find that the natural beauty of teak still has great appeal. Think of cruise ships and the various decks set up with teak loungers. Going back in time to the Titanic there was a lot teak and it conjures up a little romance. You can create formal or casual styles when using teak. You can add any colour and it will work. Think of the classic black and white which is so fresh and once again a trend this summer. Use that as a starting point and then add pops of colour, perhaps red. This way you have the option of just replacing the red items when you tire of them.
Lighting your space will add to the evening ambience and this can be done with everything from solar garden lights to candles!
I took a look around Wicker Emporium and found some fantastic teak furniture, bright accessories and everything in between. Have a look!
