Quick Candle Stand Makeover for Valentine's Day
Can I get a show of hands of who is sick of all this snow? Haven’t we all had enough already? Well, chances are there is more to come so I’ve decided to change things up around the house to beat the winter blues.
Mixing up your decor can be as simple as adding a pop of color or taking what you already have and grouping it together to incorporate a theme or make a sweet little vignette.
That is what I did with these beautiful Turned Walnut Candle Stands. They were my inspiration for this Valentine’s Day dresser. I wanted something simple, fun and that I could put together on a minimal budget. I think I can say “mission accomplished”.
Here is what I did: I painted and distressed the candle sticks with Miss Mustard Seed’s Milk Paint in Shutter Gray. The 3D paper hearts were made with leftover Christmas craft paper and all other items were from around the house. I bought some cinnamon hearts for a pop of color and there it is!
There is always a way to eliminate the monotony in your home. Whether you are tired of winter, the cold, or you’re just feeling inspired to shake things up a bit, you can make a big impact without breaking the bank.
Pop on over to the Wicker Emporium Facebook Page, leave a comment and you could win these very candle stands...and I've done all the work for you already in repainting them ;)
